2016 Market Statistics For Williamson County

According to the Austin Board of Realtors, Williamson County home prices are rising steadily. As you can see in the infographic below, prices for February went up by 4% over last year’s prices to over $244,000. This has been the trend for the past three years, and the economic forecast shows it continuing.

With over 30 builders in the county as well as many well-established neighborhoods, there is sure to be a home that suits your style of living. The Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University cites that 6.5 months of inventory represents a market in which supply and demand for homes is balanced. The housing inventory for this county is at about 3 ½ month supply. With the median price of homes going up each month, now is a great time to purchase a home:

1 - You’ll be getting a home before prices go up even more, saving you money;
2 - You’ll be putting that “rent” money towards equity in your own home instead of the landlord’s pocket; and
3 - You have all the freedom homeownership affords: painting, remodeling, landscaping and reconstruction (make sure to check with your HOA for permits and approval), making the house…your home.
